Student Activities

Our partner Spanish school in Buenos Aires offers student activities every day of the week in order to supplement the student experience without interfering with Spanish school coursework. The coordination of these activities is included in each student's Spanish course! Most activities offered are free or at a low cost for students, such as entrance fees or meal costs.

The Spanish school staff is always on hand to answer any questions and to explain local cultural activities to Spanish students. Here are some examples of the Spanish student activities in Buenos Aires:

Workshops

Our partner Spanish school works with local venues in Buenos Aires in order to offer special student activities in Buenos Aires called workshops that supplement the language immersion courses and, most importantly, offer contact with local Argentines. Flex your linguistic and physical muscles while learning new fun skills outside of formal classes!

Each workshop comes in packages of 2, 4, or 8 classes. Students can reserve and arrange for workshops before or after their arrival at the Spanish school in Buenos Aires.

Tango (Dancing)

As the most famous creative expression of Buenos Aires, students have the opportunity to take tango classes, ranging from first-time dancers to experts; all skill levels are welcome. Through formal instruction and dance floor practice, instructors cover both traditional steps and the latest improvisational techniques.

Workshops Details: 2.5 hours /class (divided into 1 group and 1 individual lesson)

Tango Workshop

Polo

There is no better place in the world to learn polo than in the country that raises the highest-quality horses exclusively for the sport! Spend a day with the animal and sport that play defining roles in typical Argentine culture. A full day at an estancia (traditional Argentina ranch), the workshop includes polo classes in the morning and afternoon, a large asado (barbeque) for lunch, and horseback riding or watching a polo game in the evening. Students also have the option of staying the night at the estancia.

Polo Workshop

Fileteado painting

Fileteado porteño is a popular and decorative art unique to Buenos Aires. Its stylized forms of intense color are painted to appear three dimensional using shadowing techniques. Flowers, ribbons, acanthus leaves, dragons and birds are typical elements of the Fileteado repertoire, combined with phrases and images of popular characters.
