Looking for a home away from home abroad? ViaSpanish stresses the comfort and safety of our students at each of our Spanish schools and we endeavor to ensure that all the needs of each Spanish student are addressed. From airport pickup on the very first day through your move out day, ViaSpanishstudents can count on our assistance no matter what the circumstance. Here is a general list of some of the student support services we offer to each student depending on their ViaSpanish location:

f Student Services Help Desk
For all questions on the student end, we have established a Student Services Help Desk. Our bilingual office and Spanish school staff in every ViaSpanish city is available each business day to address any concerns that may arise and students additionally have a 24-hour emergency contact number in their ViaSpanish destination. From helping students select courses to choosing the best gym, the staff of ViaSpanish is here to help.

f Health and Traveler’s Insurance

ViaSpanish *highly* recommends that all students have comprehensive international health and travel insurance abroad for the full duration of their program. For those who wish to purchase insurance, ViaSpanish has teamed up with CareMed International to offer students two comprehensive travel and medical insurance packages at affordable monthly rates to ensure international coverage for our students. Plans for insurance abroad include medical, legal and technical services, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and are valid for study in any ViaSpanish destination, along with travel around South America.

f Health and Safety Information

ViaSpanish assures all students that we take health and safety as well as safe travel practices very seriously on each of our programs abroad. International concerns and all emergency information available in each country are taken into heavy consideration when developing our programs and are at the forefront of our minds throughout the length of each student’s program.  Please visit our Health and Safety page for more info on safety abroad on ViaSpanish programs.

f Student Visas

Depending on their nationality, some students may be required to apply for a student visa if studying Spanish in a Latin American country. Please visit our Student Visa page for specific requirements about your home country.

Airport Pick-Up

In most ViaSpanish destination, students can either choose the additional option of an airport pickup, or in some cases, it is already be included with their accommodation and/or Spanish courses.

Pre-Arrival Pack and Welcome Materials

Students receive an electronic pre-arrival pack the week before their program begins to help students prepare for their trip. Upon arrival in each ViaSpanish destination, students can request further welcome and orientation materials or ask school staff to help acquaint them with the city. Staff in each location is equipped to provide variety of information after their arrival, including tourist info about the destination, program and class information, and activity information such as city tours to be used during their stay in Latin America.

Conversation Partner (
Intercambio)

Students wishing to practice their Spanish with a native Spanish speaker who is learning their native language can be introduced to an Intercambio language exchange partner in some of our ViaSpanish destinations (subject to availability based on native language). Students can practice both languages while meeting at their leisure throughout the duration of their stay (minimum one month). For students studying for shorter amounts of time, ViaSpanish schools plan weekly activities to participate in intercambios with locals.
