ViaSpanish *highly* recommends that all students have comprehensive international health and travel insurance abroad for the full duration of their program. For those who wish to purchase insurance, ViaSpanish has teamed up with CareMed International to offer students two comprehensive travel and medical insurance packages at affordable monthly rates to ensure international coverage for our students. Plans for insurance abroad include medical, legal and technical services, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and are valid for study in any ViaSpanish destination, along with travel around South America. If you do not take out a policy through ViaSpanish, please check with your regular health insurance provider that you will be covered for the entire duration of your time abroad. Please also be sure of the claims process and whether or not you will be covered under your or a family members’ plan as a student in another country.

ViaSpanish works with CareMed International to ensure each of our students is covered during the duration of their stay with us in Latin America. If you would like to purchase international student health insurance for your stay in Latin America through ViaSpanish/CareMed, please click on the CareMed banner above, which will take you to the CareMed website. There you can select the health insurance plan of your choice as an ViaSpanish student. Spanish students will be covered while attending courses in any of our ViaSpanish destinations in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Costa Rica, or any combination of destinations in these countries.
