What ViaSpanish Looks for in Each Student Accommodation |
Student accommodations in Playa del Carmen include shared and private room options for each individual student, and at least one native Spanish-speaker living in each homestay or shared apartment. Our goal for all students living with a local host family or local young people is that they will use their hosts as resources about life in Playa del Carmen and the Spanish language, as well as become involved in their hosts’ social networks.
Each type of student accommodation in Playa del Carmen is additionally screened for cleanliness, amenities, distance from our students’ schools, and any special student requests, such as dietary needs, allergies, pets, smoking, etc. We do our best to meet the needs of each of our students within the framework of local cultural commodities and norms.

Family Homestay (with meals) |

|
The family homestay option is the best fit for students looking for a great deal of interaction with local Mexicans and who are interested in joining in the host family’s daily life and customs. These families are well acquainted with the city of Playa del Carmen, the Mexican culture, and greatly expedite the student’s immersion process. Families consist or everything from a señora, to a married couple with small children, to a parent with their college age children. Students share in family meals (breakfast and a large dinner) and can take advantage of the opportunity to practice Spanish on a daily basis.
