All student accommodations in Lima include a private room for each individual and at least one native Spanish-speaker living in each homestay or shared apartment. Our goal for all students living with a local host family or local young people is that they will use their hosts as resources about life in Lima and the Spanish language, as well as become involved in their hosts’ social networks.

Each type of student accommodation in Lima is additionally screened for cleanliness, amenities, distance from our students’ schools, and any special student requests, such as dietary needs, allergies, pets, smoking, etc. We do our best to meet the needs of each of our students within the framework of local cultural commodities and norms.

1. Homestay (with or without meals)  

The family homestay option is the best fit for students looking for a great deal of interaction with local Peruvians and who are interested in joining in the host family’s daily life and customs. These families are well acquainted with the city of Lima, the limeño (Lima) culture, and greatly expedite the student’s immersion process. Families consist or everything from a señora, to a married couple with small children, to a parent with their college age children. Students sharing in family meals for breakfast and dinner each day and lunch as well on weekends, and can take advantage of the opportunity to practice Spanish on a daily basis.

2. Hostel or Hotel  

The hostel and hotel options afford students a great deal of privacy and independence during down time from classes, allowing students the opportunity to explore the city at their own pace. While hostel and hotel staff often speak English, do not forget that they are an important resources to practice your Spanish!
