What ViaSpanish Looks for in Each Student Accommodation |
All student accommodations in Cusco include a private room for each individual and at least one native Spanish-speaker living in each homestay or shared apartment. Our goal for all students living with a local host family or local young people is that they will use their hosts as resources about life in Cusco and the Spanish language, as well as become involved in their hosts’ social networks.
Each type of student accommodation in Cusco is additionally screened for cleanliness, amenities, distance from our students’ schools, and any special student requests, such as dietary needs, allergies, pets, smoking, etc. We do our best to meet the needs of each of our students within the framework of local cultural commodities and norms

Details of Student Housing in Cusco |
1. Homestay (with meals) |
|
|
The family homestay option is the best fit for students looking for a great deal of interaction with local Peruvians and who are interested in joining in the host family’s daily life and customs. These families are well acquainted with the city of Cusco, the cusqueño (Cusco) culture, and greatly expedite the student’s immersion process. Families consist or everything from a señora, to a married couple with small children, to a parent with their college age children.
Students share in family meals three times a day, and can take advantage of the opportunity to practice Spanish on a daily basis. Students also have the options of choosing the Homestay “Plus” option, where rooms are slightly larger, meals slightly more adapted to student likes, and removes students a bit more from the hubbub of the city center.
