What ViaSpanish Looks for in Each Student Accommodation |
Student accommodations in Barcelona include shared and private room options for each individual student, and at least one native Spanish-speaker living in each homestay. Our goal for all students living with a local host family is that they will use their hosts as resources about life in Barcelona and the Spanish language, as well as become involved in their hosts’ social networks.

1. Homestay (with meals) |

The family homestay option is the best fit for students looking for a
great deal of interaction with local Spaniards and who are interested
in joining in the host family’s daily life and customs. These families
are well acquainted with the city of Barcelona, the Spanish culture,
and greatly expedite the student’s immersion process. Families consist
or everything from a señora, to a married couple with small children,
to a parent with their college age children. Students share in family
meals (just breakfast, breakfast plus another meal, or three meals a
day) and can take advantage of the opportunity to practice Spanish on a
daily basis.

The international student residence option is the best fit for
independent students seeking to live with other international Spanish language
students in the
Superior
option, or with international students and locals in the Standard
option.
Standard: Other apartment mates are other local students or other international students studying in Barcelona, always located no more than twenty minutes by public transportation from the school. Students can choose between a private or shared room, and arrange for just breakfast, breakfast plus another meal, or three meals a day.
Superior: Other apartment mates are other students
at our partner Spanish school in Barcelona, located just a ten minute
walk from school. The residence is completely refurbished, with flat
screen televisions, new bathrooms and modern kitchens. There are also
sun terraces on the roof the residence, where students can sunbathe and
relax. Students can choose between a private or shared room, and will
have breakfast and an evening meal each day.
